RTC is a global industry directory giving the producer/casting agent the ability to cast professional voice artists.

Realtime Casting provides producers and casting directors the ability to search and cast professional voice artists with ease and the talent the opportunity to showcase their demos and book through their agents.

But if you're here, you probably knew that.

DVE has teamed up with RTC and RODE Microphones to provide RTC community members with awesome deals on some amazing microphones! Whether you're looking for a shotgun mic, a podcaster style mic, or a large diaphragm condenser, RODE has a powerful selection of recording mics perfect for voice-over work! Feel free to browse, or check out one of these featured microphones.

Large Diaphragm Condenser microphones, such as the RODE NT1-A, are a booth recorder's best friend. With a large range of frequency response, a wide area of pick-up, and a fairly quick fall-off, this is a great type of microphone to have on hand when you have a nice noise-reduced recording space.

Typically, the multiple pickup patterns and pads found on many large-diaphragm condensers make these the most versatile mics in your studio.

The Procaster and Podcaster are examples of high-quality desk microphones useful for quick VO work, especially if you need something  uploaded to the internet quickly, or if you're just working on scripts and need something handy with an extremely quick workflow. These also pair perfectly with the RODE PSA-1 Studio Arm.

rode-podcasterAs for the Podcaster, the USB mic contains all the elements of a traditional microphone: capsule, diaphragm, etc. Where it differs from other microphones is its inclusion of two additional circuits: an onboard preamp and an analog-to-digital (A/D) converter. The preamp makes it unnecessary for the USB mic to be connected to a mixer or external mic preamp. This means you can use your headphones to monitor the audio directly through the microphone itself, or still go traditional and listen to the mix through your computer.

Shotgun Microphones in VO are nothing new. Most VO professionals not only know of a few models, but most likely have developed a favorite or two. Industry standards such as the Sennheiser MKH 416 have been prominent in this type of work for years. With that in mind, RODE designed the NTG-3 as a direct response to the 416, focusing on the strengths of this microphone, and improving on the form-factor, as well as significantly reducing the price.

The highest-quality shotgun microphones are put through rigorous testing during their design phase, made with higher-quality materials and components, and subjected to strict quality-control testing before they are sold. This definitely applies to all of the RODE NTG Shotgun microphones, designed to work as well ina  studio for VO work as they are for shooting a news report on a rainy day outdoors.

No matter which microphone suits your purposes best, DVE has you covered. We're excited to be partnering with Realtime Casting on this, and you can consider us your resource for information and products to help your voice sound its absolute best!
